My fragrance supplier has rigorous standards, excluding many materials that are ubiquitous in other suppliers’ fragrance oils. They already exclude the use phthalates and adhere to RIFM and IFRA standards for safety and purity. Additionally, they exclude materials with similar health concerns, including those on California’s Prop 65 list. Materials known to be carcinogens in California aren’t any safer elsewhere! As a business selling handmade soy candles, I feel confident offering you a product with fragrances free from Prop 65 labeling and more importantly - free of worry whether or not these fragrances are safe for your home - and those living in it.
